President Koroma Appoints Five Nation Builders From the Diaspora

As a part of his Agenda for Change, before departing for the African Union Summit underway in Libya , President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma of Sierra Leone , through the Office of the Diaspora Affairs, approved the appointments of five nation builders from his 5th Region, the Diaspora. Like the aviation expertise, who are currently busy rejuvenating Sierra Leone ’s aviation industry in the Ministry of Transport and Aviation and those in other government ministries, four ministries will benefit from the Office of the Diaspora Affairs’ recruited five experts approved by the President.

According to an ODA press release, among the ministries that have so far taken advantage of this golden opportunity are the Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Food Security, where Mr. Michael A.T. Kalainkay will serve as the Marketing Adviser and Dr. Kolleh Alusine Bangura as Senior Mining Engineer in the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Political Affairs.

Also, Mr. Pierre Lightfoot-Boston(photo) has been appointed as an Adviser to the Minister of Mineral Resources and Political Affairs and Adjunct Director of Mines.

The Office of Diaspora Affairs has also appointed Mrs. Mariama Sheriff, a professional Budget specialist to the post of budget analyst in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development. Mr. Alphajoh Charm has also been offered the position of Urban and Town Planner expert in the Ministry of Lands and Country Planning.
